So, what was the run all about?

The Chester Aid to the Homeless charity in conjunction with the West Cheshire MGOC, The Octagon Car Club and the North West Centre of the MG Car Club are delighted to announce the inaugural Cheshire Candles Charity Run.

The event will take place on the Sunday, 10th of May, 2015, starting from Chester Castle, with the Lord Mayor waving the cars off at 10.00am.  The participants will make their way via the scenic North Wales to Ellesmere in Shropshire for a lunch  stop, and then head on to the Candle Workshop for afternoon tea and finish up at the Bhurtpore Pub for an early evening meal.

Neil Wallace, heading up the organising committee, hopes to attract one hundred MGs with interest already being shown from neighbouring MG area clubs.  This promises to be a fascinating line up of MGs with everything from an early 18/80 to the modern MGs currently on sale.

With the aim being to raise money for the charity, the organisers are hoping for a large turnout, and are encouraging MG owners from all over the UK to visit Cheshire and enjoy some of the delightful roads that the area has to offer.  It’s all for a good cause!
